Womb Massage
Abdominal womb massage is an ancient modality of touch and healing that is practiced around the globe. Many cultures share a similar heritage of this body work, from South and North America to Asia and the Middle East. In many of these cultures it is said that a woman has two hearts, one in her chest and one in her pelvis- the womb. When one heart is out of balance so is the other; balance and align one and the other will follow. As above~ so below.
Womb massage is a technique rooted in the belief in the body’s own ability to heal itself when it is in balance. Our daily lives are so busy and listening to our bodies has become a lost art. This tool helps women reconnect with their bodies, creating alignment and balance in the body to allow organs to function optimally. When the body is not in balance, it can lead to many symptoms such as painful periods, constipation, endometriosis, incontinence, irregular bleeding and more. Restoring proper circulation and alignment can alleviate and cure many of these discomforts.
There is also a deep body-mind connection and this massage often allows trauma and unprocessed emotions or memories to be released. Many of us store these emotions in our bellies. This magical tool creates an opportunity to release and heal many stuck emotions and traumas.
